These Terms & Conditions apply when you create an account or use registered-user features and services provided through Luceco Academy.
Luceco Academy is operated by Luceco UK Limited, Stafford Park 1, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 3BD.
By creating an Academy account, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Terms of Use.
1. Creating an account
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating and maintaining your Academy account.
Your account is personal to you and should not be shared with another person. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
You must not create multiple accounts to gain additional access, entries, rewards or other benefits.If your details change, including your email address or professional information, you should update your account where possible or contact us for assistance.
2. Professional and installer information
Some Academy content, features, promotions or benefits may only be available to particular professional users or installers.
Where eligibility requirements apply, you must provide accurate information about your professional status, qualifications, company or other relevant details.
We may ask for reasonable evidence to verify your eligibility before providing access to restricted content or benefits.
Providing false or misleading information may result in access being refused, restricted or removed.
3. CPD, training and certificates
Academy may allow registered users to enrol in courses, complete assessments and receive certificates or other records of completion.
You must complete your own training and assessments. You must not complete an assessment on behalf of another person or allow another person to complete one for you.
Certificates are issued where the relevant course and assessment requirements have been met.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, an Academy certificate confirms completion of the relevant Academy training or CPD. It does not represent a professional qualification, licence, accreditation or authorisation to carry out work.
You remain responsible for ensuring you have any qualifications, competence, registration or certification required for your work.
4. Academy membership and features
Registration may provide access to CPD, training history, certificates, professional resources, installer content, promotions and other Academy features.
Available features may depend on your account type, professional status or eligibility.
We may add, change or withdraw Academy features and content from time to time. Registration does not guarantee permanent access to any particular course, feature, promotion or benefit.
5. Promotions, competitions and rewards
Academy may provide access to promotions, competitions, rewards and interactive features.
Additional terms may apply to individual promotions. Where promotion-specific terms are provided, you must also comply with those terms.
You must not attempt to gain an unfair advantage by creating multiple accounts, submitting duplicate or automated entries, manipulating an Academy feature, exploiting a technical error or otherwise interfering with the intended operation of a promotion.
We may refuse or remove entries, rewards or prizes where we reasonably believe the relevant requirements have not been met or a promotion has been misused.
6. Acceptable use
You must use your Academy account and its features lawfully and for their intended purpose.
You must not:
share or transfer your account;
impersonate another person or provide false information;
misuse restricted or installer-only content;
interfere with Academy systems or security;
manipulate courses, assessments, promotions or rewards; or
use Academy in a way that breaches these Terms & Conditions or our Terms of Use.
7. Suspending or closing an account
We may restrict, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, an account is being misused, false information has been provided or the security or integrity ofAcademy could be affected.
Where appropriate, we may give you an opportunity to resolve an issue before taking action.
You may request closure of your Academy account at any time.
Closing an account does not necessarily mean that all information associated with it will be immediately deleted. Our Privacy Policy explains how and why we retain personal information.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Luceco Academy available and its services operating correctly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability. Courses, features, eligibility requirements, promotions and other Academy services may be added, changed, suspended or withdrawn from time to time.
9. Content and responsibility
Your use of Academy content is also subject to our Terms of Use, including the provisions relating to technical information, professional responsibility, intellectual property and third-party content.
Academy training and technical information should be used alongside current product documentation,applicable standards, regulations and professional requirements.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and retain personal information associated with your Academy account.
Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Academy website.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary to reflect changes to Academy, its services or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be published on Academy with an updated Last updated date. Where a significant change affects registered users, we may also provide additional notice.
12. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute relating to these Terms or your use of Luceco Academy will be subject to the jurisdiction ofthe courts of England and Wales, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
